As a Campus Ambassador, You

  • Must attend all bi- weekly hour training meetings.
  • Must participate in large-scale Undergraduate Admissions projects and events including:
    • Triton Day
    • Transfer Triton Day
    • Quarterly Calling Campaigns
    • and others as needed
  • Conduct memorable walking tours for individuals, families, guardians, and specific groups.
  • Serve on student Q&A panels.
  • Perform data entry and office support as needed for the Office of Admissions.
  • Must understand the admissions cycle and requirements, especially as it pertains to prospective student questions or concerns.
  • Provide a positive visit experience to all guests.
  • Aid the Office of Admissions with recruitment efforts including college fairs, regional receptions, school visits, and other various yield and recruitment events.
  • Get exciting opportunities for leadership positions and professional development.

  • Are active in the UC San Diego student community (clubs, community resource centers, athletics, etc).
  • Can work breaks (Spring, Winter, Summer).

How has the CA role helped you pursue your career/personal goals?
The CA role has significantly enhanced my communication skills through constant interactions with guests and fellow students, fostering strong bonds and connections. This experience has not only improved my ability to communicate effectively but has also resulted in lasting friendships with some wonderful individuals.

How has the CA role helped you pursue your career/personal goals?
The CA role has helped me improve my people skills and conversational skills as well. As a pre-law student I find that having those interpersonal skills is important to have for not only future clients but team members in the workplace, and for any network building opportunities.

How has the CA role helped you pursue your career/personal goals?
The CA role allowed me to vastly improve my communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Being able to interact with guests provided me with the necessary skills to observe, examine, and execute in a timely manner which is a crucial skill as I plan to go into Emergency Medicine.
