Assistant Creative Producer / STDT 3

Division Overview

Enrollment Management (EM) is a multi-unit department currently within the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor-Academic Affairs. The Unit is led by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management (AVC EM), who serves as the Chief Enrollment Officer of the University. EM is comprised of multiple high-profile, core functional units including: the Office of Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid & Scholarships Office, Enrollment Management Technology Services (EMTS), Cal-SOAP, Creative Services, Enrollment Analytics, Parent & Family Programs, and the Business Office. EM’s core functions oversee undergraduate admissions and student outreach, continuing student enrollment management, and financial aid and scholarship management.



Creative Services supports EM units responsible for the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of undergraduate students. Creative Services produces email, social media, and direct mail campaigns; video and websites; brochures, and other promotional materials used to increase brand awareness and to recruit and enroll top students from California, the US, and around the world.

Position Overview:

  • Join the Office of Admissions Creative Collective team and share your UC San Diego story!
  • The Creative Collective is a collaborative environment where students are able to complete both assigned and self-designed projects that contribute to the overall goal of recruiting and enrolling the next amazing class of Tritons!
  • You will capture your Triton experience via photography, video, writing and design to share with prospective students through social media, web, email and print.

Job Location: This position is remote until we are allowed to get back on campus.

Job Description:

Under the guidance and general supervision of the EM Communications Coordinator, you will develop your technical and professional skill set, produce tangible work you can add to your resume and portfolio, learn and discover new areas of interest, collaborate with other creative Tritons.

Create content to use for various media channels especially social media to promote Admissions.
Interview fellow students.
Capture daily Triton life via photography, videography and stories.
Create graphics, photos, videos and/or writing.

WORK SCHEDULE:
5 hours a week.

Hourly rate:
$14.50 hr

Other Duties as Assigned
In all instances, the acumen of the staff in Enrollment Management will include characteristics of professionalism in dress, conversation, attitude, behavior, and attentiveness to people at all times. All staff in EM are required to uphold the Principles of Community and are required to promote a positive and collaborative team environment. This job description is not intended to be all inclusive, nor is it focused exclusively on EM responsibilities. It is understood that all EM staff will also perform other reasonably related duties if requested by his or her supervisor or other leadership personnel. It is customary in EM that all staff assist and support their colleagues during times of peak workload, as appropriate and as approved by supervisors. Job descriptions are reviewed periodically and may be revised if deemed necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and adhere to established work hours.
  • Must have a positive attitude and share creative ideas in a group setting.
  • Ability to communicate in a concise and effective manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Preferred (but not required) skills include: photography, graphic design, editing or writing; knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Social media outlets (IG, twitter, facebook).
  • Must maintain confidentiality of departmental/employee/student information. Work efficiently and accurately.
  • Must pay UCSD student services fees each quarter working (must have paid Spring 2021 UC San Diego student services fees or be a new or readmit registered for Fall 2021 to work summer).
